Boracay Station

We went to the station. We took a look at a sheet that will let us get into Boracay. What is interesting is if you don't live there you have to go there 59 days then come back! But if you pay more we can make that time period longer. Personally I think it would be fun to get a holiday every 59 days. ( If we don't pay more and have to keep leaving we get to go to places like Paris, Scotland, Whales, ect.) Also if we go to a certain place and get what I think there called our VESAS (the sheet of paper that lets us go to Boracay) we can tell them our reason why we are going, ( to help the people there ) we mite get to stay even longer then we could, even more than if we did pay. Talk to you later!

Boracay Weather

I looked up a weather report with the average temperature, coldest temperature, and more for Boracay. I found out the average temperature is around 30 ̊C . Isn’t that hot! The hottest months in Boracay are April and May. The hottest months in Canada are June, July, and early August. That will be a slight change for me. One of the things that I find funny is that the coldest temperature is the high 20's and low 30's! Honestly, it must be really hot there! There are 2 seasons in Boracay. The rainy season, (begins around June and ends late October) and the dry season (November - May) It is going to be a big step. As you can see Boracay is sooooo hot.

Homes

This weekend we are going to look up the type of houses we will be living in. We tried looked at some before but it was more like buy/rent now!! (But some of the houses we did see were quite beautiful.) So we're going to see if there is more than just buy/rent now!!! I am again sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo exited! :-)

Learning The Language

My Dad says that maybe this week or weekend we will start learning the language! As I said I want to learn the phrases, "hello, where's the bathroom, you look pretty, I'm English, and I'm here to help." I can't wait to learn those phrases! This is going to be my first language because I haven't learned French yet. This is going to be great!

The Beginning

My whole family is going on a mission trip to Boracay Island. We are going in the summer of Grade Four. We are going for a whole year. I am super excited! We are doing this because we are going to help the people who live there. My parents are going to teach kids and teach teachers. Me and my sisters are going to go to cuddle babies, talk to the kids, and teach bible study. The island is 1 mile wide, and 6 miles long. We are going to learn some of the language. The national language is Tagalog. The words I want to learn are, hello, where is the bathroom, you look pretty, I'm here to help. I get to visit many places on the way home like Wales, and Scotland. I will blog some more soon!
